United Just Announced The Longest Flight To Or From The U.S.

United Airlines just announced the launch of the longest non-stop flight to or from the United States.

The flight will zoom between Los Angeles and Singapore and will clock in at just under 18 hours. That’s longer than the previous U.S. record holding flight from Dallas to Sydney, and may be the longest journey in flying time held by any airline in the world. The world’s longest flight in mileage is currently a hotly contested title.

The journey is 8,700 miles and will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which has a passenger capacity of 250.

However, this new flight may not hold its shiny title for much longer. Singapore Airlines has suggested that they will be restarting their discontinued non-stop flight from Singapore to New York in the coming year.
