Few People Know You Can Take A Barge In The Bayou On Arkansas’ Largest Lake

Arkansas has an endless supply of adventures. You’d spend a couple of lifetimes just taking advantage of all the outdoor activities, let alone making a dent in the indoor splendors. One of those outdoor adventures that needs to be taking advantage of resides in Lake Village. This small town is home to the largest natural lake, Lake Chicot. Let’s board the barge and bring it on down to the bayou.

For someone that spends most of their time exploring waterfalls and climbing mountains, touring Lake Chicot's bayou is a whole new experience.
During your tour you may catch a glimpse of the endangered wood stork.

Egrets, herons, eagles, and ibis also make their home here in the bayou.
After your tour, you might as well stay for a night or two. The whole area is a gorgeous backdrop for some recharging.
