The Cozy Cabin Where You Can View the Best Fall Foliage in Mississippi

Catching the fall foliage in Mississippi is a tricky task. Our friends in the north will start seeing the colors turn in the next few weeks, but Mississippi tends to arrive fashionably late to the festivities. Mid-October to mid-November is the general ballpark, but one poorly-timed cold snap could change that! I always feel like we see the peak fall foliage in Mississippi closer to the beginning of November.

While the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook whatever you'd like, there’s also a charcoal grill for BBQ and a fireplace for cozy campfires and roasted marshmallows. We all know the best parts of fall (besides the fall colors) are the campfires and crisp air.

The back porch is where you’d find me 24/7. I love the tree-top views and the glimpse of the lake just beyond the trees. 

Both JP Coleman State Park and Tishomingo State Park are nearby. These are great natural areas to enjoy the fall foliage. If you have a boat, I highly recommend visiting JP Coleman State Park and seeing Copper Falls. It’s only accessible via boat, but it’s just a short boat ride from the park. It’s a beauty when surrounded by various shades of yellow, orange, and red!

Woodall Mountain is also nearby, and this lovely little spot just so happens to be the highest natural point in Mississippi! Take a drive over and catch a tree-top view from your windshield--no hiking necessary!
