Gina Goff
VP, Content Strategy & Operations
With two decades in digital media, Gina has built a career at the intersection of travel, lifestyle, and digital storytelling. As VP of Content Strategy & Operations at Launch Potato, she oversees editorial strategy and brand development across the company's travel portfolio, including Travel Bulletin and Only In Your State.
Previously, she was Digital Director and Managing Editor at Sunset (Time Inc., now People Inc.), where she modernized the 128-year-old lifestyle brand through video, integrated campaigns, and social-first content. She began her career at IAC, covering San Francisco’s restaurant and nightlife scene for Citysearch, eventually managing a nationwide team of editors. Her work has earned Webby, Telly, and ASME awards. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from UC Berkeley and studied Hotel and Tourism Management at NYU.
A Wisconsin native now based in Los Angeles, Gina lives with her husband, Chris, and dog, Bucatini.
Sara Heddleston
Senior Director, Audience Growth
Sara is a digital marketer and brand strategist with nearly 15 years of experience in audience development, content strategy, and SEO. She began her career in search engine optimization after earning a BA in Marketing, quickly expanding her expertise across multiple facets of digital publishing.
Early on, she managed video content strategy and large-scale newsletter operations for an online media company, honing her ability to engage audiences across platforms. She then took on a pivotal role as co-owner and Managing Editor of a short-lived but massively influential publisher that mastered the art of social media-driven virality.
Since 2015, Sara has been a driving force behind Only In Your State, where she has served as both a steward and advocate for the brand. As Sr. Brand Director, she leads creative and data-driven initiatives that enhance brand presence, grow the brand footprint, and develop new audiences, collaborating with a team of highly skilled and passionate professionals. An enthusiastic generalist and leader, she thrives at the intersection of everything a dynamic brand needs to grow—always pushing for innovation and growth.
Ashley Fallon
Editorial Director
Ashley (Rossi) Fallon comes to Only In Your State with a decade of travel media experience including positions as a staff editor at SmarterTravel (a Tripadvisor Co.), managing editor at Roadtrippers, and social media lead at Direct Travel. She's written hundreds of articles, as well as spearheaded content and social media strategies. As a contractor she worked with Hipcamp and Gear Patrol Studios on branded campaigns and has bylines with USA Today, Tripadvisor, and others.
She recently earned her master's degree in digital communication at UNC-Chapel Hill where she researched the "TikTokification of travel media" and created a best practice guide for travel publishers and brands
At Only In Your State, Ashley leads the editorial team and oversees daily publishing and special projects across the website.
Based in North Carolina, she's spoiled with easy access to two of the top-visited national park sites in the U.S. (Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway). Her favorite domestic destinations include Zion National Park, Hilton Head Island, and Boston's North End.

Marisa Roman
Senior Editor
Marisa Roman is a travel writer, editor, and storyteller with over a decade of experience bringing the world’s hidden corners to life on the page. Her passion for exploration isn’t just professional — it’s personal. For several years, she called a self-converted Sprinter van home, roaming the country alongside her dog, Ghost, and discovering firsthand the freedom and wonder of life on the open road.
Now based just outside of Miami, Florida, Marisa channels that spirit of adventure into her work as an editor at Only In Your State, where she shapes compelling narratives that connect readers with local gems and unforgettable destinations. Her editorial eye is sharp, her instinct for story even sharper — and her commitment to authentic, transportive writing is evident in everything she touches.
Beyond the written word, Marisa co-produces and co-hosts States of Discovery, a podcast that brings the joy and curiosity of travel to a wider audience. Whether on the road, on the page, or behind the mic, she’s always chasing the next great story.

Sarah McCosham is an Senior Editor at Only In Your State whose 15+ year writing career reflects her personal story, from penning the alumni newsletter at a local arts college and covering family-friendly activities as a new parent to musing about mid-life and documenting her insatiable wanderlust. In addition to penning nearly 2,000 articles for Only In Your State, Sarah’s writing has been featured in publications such as Indy’s Child, Cincinnati Parent (now Southwest Ohio Parent), MidwestLiving, and Cincinnati Magazine.
While Sarah has a deep love of her home city (Go Cincinnati Reds!) and new home state (Kentucky proud!), Acadia National Park is her favorite place to visit and will never pass up the opportunity for a winter polar plunge in Maine.

Erin is a content creator with a background in social media, photojournalism, documentary and design. Before joining Only In Your State, she worked for a DIY brand called eHow and for the Columbia Missourian newspaper, during her college years at the Missouri School of Journalism. Originally from Collinsville, Illinois, Erin now resides in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, where she continues to share unique travel experiences and explore with her husband and their dog, Peaches.
Caroline Manning
Head of Newsletter Partnerships
Caroline Manning leads newsletter partnerships across Launch Potato’s content brands, including Travel Bulletin and Only In Your State. She brings nearly a decade of newsletter advertising and partnership experience, including roles as Partnerships Director at Fragment Media Group and Director of Account Management at Optimism (now part of Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc.), where she led direct sales and brand partnerships for newsletters including The Discoverer and Daily Passport. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Caroline is based in Denver, where she enjoys an active lifestyle, including trail running and exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog, Rango.
Kali Acerra

Kali Acerra has been with Only In Your State since 2023, currently serving as Senior Email Marketing Manager. With a background in the health and wellness and entertainment industries, she brings a unique perspective to her role, integrating insights from both fields. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Kali has also lived in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, California. Her passion for travel was sparked at a young age through family trips focused on exploring national parks, particularly those in the Southwest—experiences she continues to cherish. As an avid traveler, she has explored both the East and West coasts and looks forward to discovering more of the Midwest.

Brenna Nation is a newsletter editor and content curator based in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Since joining Launch Potato, she has developed and curated email newsletters across the company’s portfolio, including Only In Your State and Travel Bulletin. Before Launch Potato, she worked as an Email Marketing Specialist at Morning Brew, where she honed her instincts for engaging, high-performing newsletter content. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland.
When she’s not in an inbox, Brenna is working on her fiction writing, seeking out the spiciest dish in any given room, or exploring the North Carolina coast with her dogs.
