If you love seeking out Mississippi’s hidden gems, a visit to Cooper Falls is a must. Even though the towering waterfall is a longtime favorite of nearby locals, its existence remains a mystery to most residents of the Magnolia State. Take a look:
Pickwick Lake is known for scenic beauty, so it should come as no surprise that it’s home to Cooper Falls.
The waterfall is located on the lake, just north of J.P. Coleman State Park in Iuka, MS.
At 50' in height, the cascading fall is pretty hard to miss.
Cooper Falls is only accessible by boat, but don’t let that discourage you from visiting. The stunning waterfall is just a short boat ride from J.P. Coleman State Park.
The beautiful water at the base of the fall is the perfect spot to anchor and go for a swim.
It’s also your chance to get out and explore the waterfall, which can be accessed from the shoreline in certain areas.
Be sure to have your camera handy; the photo-ops are incredible!
Of course, you can always just drift peacefully in the cove and listen to the sound of the falling water.
