What are some scenic hikes in Vermont?

Vermont is known for idyllic mountain views and sweeping, gorgeous natural landscapes. There is no dearth of breathtaking scenery to indulge in as you hike in Vermont. Some of the best views around can be found on Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s tallest mountain. The sweeping views at the top are absolutely gorgeous, but the true draw is the unique tundra to be found here above the tree line. It is one of only two places in Vermont where this arctic-alpine tundra can be found! This rare tundra is home to multiple unique foliage, so it is definitely worth the trip. There are multiple trails that lead to the summit, including The Long Trail, or the much more difficult and grueling Hell Brook Trail, if you are looking for a real challenge.

What are some easy hikes in Vermont?

If you are wanting to get out and enjoy the beautiful nature that can be found in Vermont, but you are a novice hiker or just not searching for a grueling challenge while you hike, look no further. There are plenty of nice and easy hikes you can take in Vermont that definitely do not skimp out on the views. Red Rocks Park in South Burlington, Vermont is one such area where easy, beautiful hikes can be found. Specifically, The Lake Trail will leisurely take you among the gorgeous rocky cliffs, with breathtaking views of the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain sprinkled in. Or you can check out Mt. Philo State Park in Charlotte, Vermont. Here you can hike an extremely quick ¾ miles up to the summit for an amazing view of Lake Chaplain. While the hike is steep, the amount of effort overall you’ll have to exert is not too steep.
