This Exhilarating Hike Takes You To The Most Crystal Blue Lake In Vermont
Not all of Vermont’s natural wonders are found in plain sight. But Silver Lake is a less obvious wonder well worth finding. Often overshadowed by the nearby larger and more popular Lake Dunmore, this blue lake may take a little more effort to reach but it’s a locale you won’t want to miss. Take an exhilarating hike through the forest on the Silver Lake Trail to find the big payoff at the end of the path.

Silver Lake is smaller than the renowned Lake Dunmore but it is no less scenic. The still clear waters reflect the blue skies creating a gorgeous oasis.
Silver Lake Trail is a great hike to take in the summer when you can stop for a swim. But you'll want to plan a return trip in the fall when the foliage erupts into full color.
