Stroll through 170 acres of lush gardens and swamps at this out-of-the-way attraction. See the spot where the famous rowboat scene in the major motion picture, "The Notebook," was filmed.

After the long winter, immerse yourself in the wilderness under a lush canopy of trees on this 10.8-mile hike. The trail is built from an old rail passage that still contains 14 trestles and bridges.

Spend a day by, on, or in the water at Lake Jocassee. The state's clearest, most pristine lake is suited to springtime fun. Rent a kayak or even a motorboat at Devil's Fork State Park and go enjoy the day.

Each May, the waters of the Catawba River fill with the largest stand of Rocky Shoal Spider Lilies anywhere. You can view them from the park on the Canal Trail. Or, better yet, bring a kayak and get up closer!

Follow a sandy path to discover a beautiful, untouched boneyard beach filled with the sun-bleached carcasses of downed trees. Pass under a gorgeous tunnel of trees on an old dirt road getting there. This is a fantastic journey to make in the springtime!
