1. October Mountain State Forest

At 16,000 acres, October Mountain State Forest is the largest state park in Massachusetts. It is one of the most scenic places in the state come fall. 2. Maudslay State Park

3. Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation

Mount Sugarloaf is one of the tallest peaks in Central Mass, and one of the most scenic places in the state, so why not take a trail to the top and take in the endless autumnal hues? You'll be enchanted in no time!

Fall colors abound at Moore State Park, and you will need to see it for yourself. And with the hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic mills, there's something truly special about spending a fall day here. It's truly a fall gem in Massachusetts.

5. Leominster State Forest
