One of the magical things about this trail is that it’s equally gorgeous in all seasons. The shady paths shelter hikers from the summer sun, while the fall foliage makes it a perfect autumn excursion. And in the winter, you’ll feel like you’ve fallen into a snow globe.
Keep your eyes peeled for whimsical sights along the way! We’re willing to bet that forest elves had a hand in this branch sculpture.
One of the best things about this trail is that it offers such a diverse range of terrain and views. This cleared area has the look of a witch’s swamp, don’t you think?
Of course, one of the highlights of this trail is a stop at Triphammer Pond. It’s a secluded, beautiful spot that’s perfect for watching wildlife and simply enjoying a moment of serenity.
We highly recommend bringing some snacks along. There are numerous spots to settle along the water’s edge, including a picnic table and dock.
This trail’s difficulty is rated as “moderate,” and the path is a mix of pavement and dirt. You can walk as much or as little of the full 10.3-mile loop as you want.
