Hiking in Montana is always a beautiful experience, but there’s something especially wonderful about a waterfall hike like the one to Sweathouse Falls. Sweathouse Falls is located a few miles outside of the town of Victor, in the Bitterroot National Forest. Get ready to be amazed! You are about to embark upon one of the best waterfall hikes in Montana.

Just take US-93 from Victor to Bear Creek Road, make a left, and follow signs for Sweathouse Creek Road. That will take you right to the trailhead.
The trail itself isn't overly challenging, but it is about five miles long out and back.

The trail is ranked moderate by the pros, so unless you're a total novice, it should heart-pumping, but not too treacherous. It's perfect for dogs, too!
The Sweathouse Falls Trail does have steep elevation gains at times, but you're rewarded with stunning views.

You'll hike through cottonwood, ponderosa pine, grand fir, and western larch trees, passing a series of small seasonal waterfalls along the way. Take the time to enjoy the Sweathouse Falls trail, which could take about three hours to complete.
