3. Mazorca Tacos
Next, we'll head on down to the Fifth Ward to stand in line at the growingly popular taco trailer, Mazorca Tacos. These are some of the best tacos you can find, thanks in part to the handcrafted tortillas they whip up every day. Make sure to bring some cash, as they don't take cards.
Mazorca is located on the corner of 1st and Pittsburgh Ave., Milwaukee.
4. The Laughing Taco
If you keep heading down 1st Street, you'll run into Walker's Point's newest taco spot, The Laughing Taco. This little shop is a great spot to grab-and-go. Their tacos are as tasty as can be, and they have fun "boozy" slushies to go with.
The Laughing Taco is located at 1033 S. 1st St., Milwaukee.
Heading down National Ave., we find ourselves in the heart of Mexican food in Milwaukee. Botanas is a staple for Milwaukee Mexican food, and their tacos are no exception. Served in huge portions, Botanas is a solid spot any day.
Botanas is located at 816 S. 5th St., Milwaukee.
6. La Casa De Alberto
Going further down National, you'll find La Casa De Alberto! This restaurant
might not look like much from the outside
, but their authentic tacos are worth every penny... which aren't many, since you can load up on a whole meal for $6! Enjoy these amazing tacos any day of the week, except Tuesdays—they're closed.
7. Conejito's Place
Head down 5th Street and you'll come across the urban legend: Conejito's. This well-known Milwaukee Mexican joint serves all of their food on paper plates. You might not be dining in style, but you'll be chowing down on the most authentic and affordable tacos around.
Conejito's Place is located at 539 W. Virginia St., Milwaukee.
Last, but not least on our taco excursion is Vagabond. This downtown spot is the coolest, and the Tuesday and Thursday taco deals are the best. The modern taco joint has decor replicating a 50s diner with a modern twist, and their tacos are super unique. A great end to an amazing Taco Trail!
Vagabond is located at 1122 N. Edison St., Milwaukee.
