Wisconsin has a lot of great broadcasters, but there’s one in Green Bay who is a true Wisconsin icon. Bill Jartz is someone you probably know well if you live in the Green Bay media market and if you’ve attended a Packers home game. You probably know his voice. Jartz is a Wisconsin native, and he’s left a big mark on the state during his long WBAY career – not just as a great journalist but as someone who supports a lot of important causes. Here’s a little bit about Wisconsin’s Bill Jartz,

WBAY is a television station in Green Bay that’s affiliated with ABC. It’s owned by an Atlanta-based media company called Gray Television. The station’s offices are located on South Jefferson Street in Downtown Green Bay, just across from the Brown County Courthouse.

The station has been on the air for 70 years, and it’s a fixture in the Green Bay area. A lot of great journalists have worked at the station over the years, and one of the best can be seen on the station’s nightly newscasts.

Bill Jartz is a Wisconsin native - he grew up in Clintonville, and he was an all-state football player. He attended Northwestern University on an athletic scholarship; and after a short stint working at WSAW in Wausau, he headed to Green Bay.
