The steakhouse began in the 1940s as Coerper's 5 O'Clock Club. According to legend, the Five O'Clock name originated because an alarm clock would sound at the restaurant each day at 5 p.m. to signal a free drink for patrons.
But the establishment had far more than drink deals. It became legendary for its excellent cuts of beef and outstanding service. Over the years, scores of special events have been celebrated and important deals toasted in this storied establishment.
But at its heart, the steakhouse is still about the food. It sources its food locally and carefully. For example, the filets, bone-in filets, New York strips and Porterhouses are all handcut and butchered nearby in New Berlin by Pritzlaff Wholesale Meats and sourced from Creekstone Farms.
Enjoy a classic martini or something a little lighter and fruitier like a Hawaiian Punch Cooler, crafted with orange, cherry and cranberry juice and completed with cherry butters, dehydrated pineapple and a blood orange garnish.
