Our capital city is home to several incredible light displays that are sure to wow you and put you in the holiday spirit. Of course, one of the most popular and well-known Christmas light displays in Salt Lake City is at Temple Square. This annual event draws thousands of individuals who love walking through the trees, historic buildings, and nativity scenes all adorned with twinkling lights. Admission into this light display is free and we suggest arriving early in the evening as this is one event that can become very busy, particularly during the weekends.

This is the Place Heritage Park is another must-visit location in Salt Lake City for Christmas lights. This park hosts a Candlelight Christmas where the village takes you back to the time of the pioneers. You can enjoy a live nativity, listen to Heritage Village Carolers, shop for unique gifts in the pioneer homes, and more. Even just walking around the village and admiring all of the lights is one tradition you’ll want to have each Christmas in Salt Lake City.

Individuals of all ages will love to see the Zoolights at Hogle Zoo.
