Utah hosts many incredible festivals all year long. But, one of the most magical is held around the holidays – the Dickens’ Christmas Festival. Held in St. George, this is not your typical Christmas festival in Utah. Rather, you will feel like you are walking down a street in Olde London. You’ll be surrounded by period costumes, fortune tellers, delicious treats, and the cutest little shops. There is certainly a magic to this festival that you just won’t find in other events throughout the year in the Beehive State.
The Dickens’ Festival will take place at the St. George Convention Center on November 30 to December 3, 2022. During this event, you’ll not only feel the Christmas spirit, but you’ll feel like you’ve traveled to an entirely different place.
The Dickens’ Christmas Festival is a not-for-profit organization that gives back by helping families in Southern Utah in times of need.
This festival essentially combines everything you love about Olde London and the holidays into one epic event. It is designed so you feel like you are strolling the streets of Olde London, rather than a modern-day convention center.
This annual event features dozens of vendors and vintage booths that are designed to resemble Old English Shops. In these booths, you’ll find all types of goods, making it the perfect place to find unique and unforgettable Christmas gifts.
Not only are the shops adorable and have a vintage feel, but the vendors are dressed in period costumes, including gorgeous Victorian dresses, hats, and accessories.
In fact, you never know what historic figures from this time period you may see. Queen Victoria often makes an appearance, but don’t be surprised if you see fortune tellers, orphans, and many others as well.
You’ll also want to check out the schedule of events as there is so much to see and do throughout the entire four-day festival including live entertainment. You’ll certainly never be bored.
There is an admission fee for each individual at this festival. If purchased online, ticket prices for seniors and children 12 and under are less expensive than purchasing them on-site.
