The moment you arrive in downtown Bristol, you won't help but notice that music is a huge part of the culture here.
This scenic small town is found right on the border of Tennessee and Virginia. In fact, the official state border runs through the heart of downtown, offering visitors the rare chance to be in two places at once!
If it's your first time in town, you can't miss the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.
This famous designation was bestowed upon Bristol by the U.S. Congress in October 1998. The museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and it tells the story of how country music's very roots were planted in Bristol.
