9 Themed Airbnbs That Look Like the Set of Your Favorite Movie

From "Star Wars" to "Barbie" check in to these Hollywood-inspired sets across the U.S.

Themed vacation rentals are becoming more and more popular thanks to epic movies—both old and new. Traveling to see filming locations is one thing, but at these vacation rentals you can sleep surrounded by decor and memorabilia inspired by your favorite movies. From "Star Wars" to "Barbie" check in to these Hollywood-esque sets across the U.S.

1. Bettlejuice: Moonlight Manor in Northern California

The Moonlight Manor is not your typical Airbnb in California. This vacation rental is a 150-year-old Victorian mansion in Oakland and is a themed getaway experience. The living room and dining room both feature a dark Victorian theme, making you feel like you are the main character of a horror film. There’s also a 'Beetlejuice'-themed room, which has a living room feel but can be utilized as a bedroom, as a couch unfolds into a bed.

2. Jurassic Park: Nanaina Cottage in Hawaii

Experience your own 'Jurassic Park' adventure at Nanaina Cottage in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i. This tropical jungle retreat features secret hiking trails, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, lush rainforest canopies, and, of course, major dinosaur vibes. Nestled deep into a rainforest oasis, this romantic escape offers an unforgettable off-the-grid experience, equal parts magical, adventurous, and serene.

While Nanaina Cottage feels as if it is wildly remote, it happens to be a short drive from all the local sightseeing spots, beaches, and shopping centers. Note: you’ll want a 4-wheel drive car to reach this Big Island vacation rental due to the path winding through thick ferns and towering fauna.

3. Tombstone: Old West Temecula in Southern California

Behind the rustic storefront façades sits a gorgeous modern home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, outfitted with everything a group could want or need: a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning (a must in SoCal), smart TVs, and plenty of comfy furnishings. Between the traditional beds and the bunks in both the jail and bank buildings (yes, you can sleep in the jail!), the space comfortably accommodates over 20 guests, making it a rare find for large families or groups of friends looking for an experience that's both a little cinematic and 100 percent unique.

4. Alice in Wonderland: Playhouse in Missouri

This house combines the magic of Lewis Carroll’s classic novel and Disney’s beloved 1951 cartoon version with the wacky spice of director Tim Burton’s 2010 film, creating an incomparable vacation rental. It even has a two-story slide!

The Airbnb owners have included larger, “curiouser and curiouser” elements to this "Alice in Wonderland" home, but they haven’t overlooked the small touches. You can find a doorknob resembling the one from the book and films; luckily, this one doesn’t tell you things are “simply impassible.” You’ll also find tons of toys, statues, plush pillows, and more showcasing colorful characters from Wonderland. The collection will impress even the deepest Alice fans!

5. James Bond: Enchanted Glass Manor in Wyoming

The beloved superspy may be of English origin, like the author who created him, but if Ian Fleming had ever penned a Bond novel set in the rugged Mountain West, there’s a good chance the secret agent would have traded the cold marble of MI6 for the sun-drenched elegance of this sleek villa in Wyoming: the Enchanted Glass Manor in Jackson.

If you're craving a luxury getaway with sultry terraces and chic furnishings, this exquisite retreat practically begs for a tuxedo-clad guest to descend down the lavish glass spiral staircase, drink in hand, mission accomplished.

6. Barbie: Dreamhouse in Texas

Let your inner child out to play when you book this pretty-in-pink paradise in the heart of the city. This 3,200-square-foot home sleeps up to 23 guests in six bedrooms. It has a full kitchen, two dining rooms, three full bathrooms, and countless high-end amenities to transport you into Barbie's world of glitz, glamor, and luxury.

The "Barbie" movie isn't in theaters anymore, but the home has its very own movie theater, so you can stream it. When you're done with the movie, recreate the rollerblading scene in the garage skating rink. The floor and skates are pink, and a giant Barbie decal is on the wall to set the scene. Turn on the soundtrack from the movie and skate your heart out. There are also a few vintage arcade games if you want to really turn up the nostalgia.

7. Harry Potter: Hagrid's Hut in Arkansas

The Hut at the Farm is a Harry Potter-themed Airbnb in Benton, Arkansas, inspired by Hagrid’s hut. With a pointed roof and cobblestone siding, it’s as close to an exact replica as it gets in real life. This cozy hideout is less than an hour from Hot Springs National Park, but it feels like a whole different world.

Immaculate attention to detail invokes a rustic charm reminiscent of a scene from a Harry Potter movie. Between the wood-burning fireplace, stained glass window in the bathroom, wall sconces, and fairytale-like decor, you’ll half expect Hagrid himself to walk in the front door at any moment. There’s even a lifelike statue of Dobby in the living area.

8. Star Wars: Taos Mesa Studio Earthship

If you’ve ever dreamt of living out your fantasies as your favorite lightsaber-wielding character, consider a stay at Taos Mesa Studio Earthship. Even a past guest mentioned that “Earthship is like something out of a Star Wars movie.” Hiding out in the high desert mesa, this Star Wars-themed Airbnb in New Mexico might be one of the coolest places to stay. Just 20 minutes on the outskirts of Taos is a community of Earthship homes built with recycled materials. The off-the-grid homes are fully sustainable, catching rainwater and using solar panels for electricity.

9. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: Sweet Escape Mansion in Florida

If you're a sweets lover or have a family gathering coming up that deserves a little bit of color and a whole lot of excitement, then check out this Sweet Escape house. From the moment you enter the gated property, you’re transported into a sugar-coated dreamscape.

The estate features the world’s only ice cream cone-shaped swimming pool, complete with a hot tub that playfully serves as the “cherry on top.” There’s also a “chocolate” waterslide, splash park, and a motorized outdoor movie theater by the pool for starlit screenings. Guests can enjoy a full-sized, candy-themed mini golf course, a massive concrete Candyland-inspired board game, and a 1,400-square-foot karaoke nightclub outfitted with disco lights.
