This Arkansas Airbnb Is Like Stepping Onto the Set of a Harry Potter Movie
This Harry Potter-themed Airbnb in Benton, Arkansas looks just like Hagrid's hut from the movies. It's charming, rustic, secluded, and magical.
Attention, fellow Potterheads! If you love the Wizarding World as much as I do (for reference, I read “The Order of the Phoenix,” which is nearly 900 pages long, in a single day when I was a kid), then you’re in for a treat. The Hut at the Farm is a Harry Potter-themed Airbnb in Benton, Arkansas, inspired by Hagrid’s hut. With a pointed roof and cobblestone siding, it’s as close to an exact replica as it gets in real life.
This cozy hideout is less than an hour from Hot Springs National Park, but it feels like a whole different world. It’s tucked away on a 34-acre working farm with cows, goats, chickens, pigs, and two adorable Great Pyrenees dogs. Walking trails wind through the property so you can observe all the goings-on, and farm-fresh eggs and pastured pork are available for purchase. Other amenities include a pickleball court and a fishing pond (the hosts provide fishing poles).
The interior is an open-concept studio, with a queen bed, a dining table, a small but well-stocked kitchen, a reading nook, and a private bathroom. An air mattress sleeps an additional two guests for a total of four people.
Immaculate attention to detail invokes a rustic charm reminiscent of a scene from a Harry Potter movie. Between the wood-burning fireplace, stained glass window in the bathroom, wall sconces, and fairytale-like decor, you’ll half expect Hagrid himself to walk in the front door at any moment. There’s even a lifelike statue of Dobby in the living area.
As far as practicalities go, the kitchen is quaint but functional. It features basic appliances, including a fridge, microwave, 3-in-1 toaster, griddle, and coffee pot, allowing you to prepare all your meals with ease.
Cozy up by the fire with your favorite Harry Potter book, or relax on the patio under the stars. String lights add a magical ambiance that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, illuminating the darkness to guide the way. Adirondack chairs surround a fire pit, perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows or warming up on a cool night. The hosts provide firewood and kindly ask you not to bring your own due to insects. Perhaps, if you squint hard enough into the forest, you'll see a Griffin galloping through the trees.
