Splash Zone Waterpark is located right next to the campsites at James Island County Park in Charleston, SC. The lazy river here has the potential to become your new best friend for the summer!
The water park here also features a massive swimming pool, so there's plenty of room for everyone to cool off.
In fact, the entire water park here is very roomy, and you'll find plenty of space for various fun and games.
One of the attractions at the water park is called The Rainforest. It offers a truly wild experience - you'll have buckets of water dumped on you from the top, and it's filled with twisting slides. The Rainforest is the ultimate way to keep cool!
After you and the kids are all tuckered out from a day at the water park, you can easily head right across the street over to your campsite.
James Island County Park features 124 campsites. There are electrical hookups and free Wi-Fi. Most of the sites are carved into the natural flora of the campground, so you'll find that privacy is a priority and noise is generally kept to a minimum.
This isn't just a campground with a lazy river - it's also got miles of paved trails! This place is perfect for biking, skating, or just going for a stroll in nature. There are also 16 acres of freshwater lakes that are open for fishing, or you can rent a kayak to explore the water.
There's also a smaller splash park here, plus a climbing wall that's actually the tallest climbing wall in South Carolina.
