6 Waterfront Oregon Rentals So Stunning They Don’t Feel Real
Wake up to the water at these incredible Oregon rentals featuring scenic shorelines, cozy accommodations, and unforgettable natural beauty.
I am currently planning a birthday weekend to the Oregon Coast—it’s my happy place. While I’ve explored the coast multiple times, this year I don’t have a certain spot I want to visit. Rather, I’m simply looking for the best waterfront rental in Oregon for my time away. As I’ve been searching, I’ve come across several unique stays in Oregon that have caught my eye, and I had to share. The following are six vacation rentals packed with amenities and providing such stunning ocean or river views that they feel almost unreal.
1. 3-Story Riverside Haven – Gold Beach
Rustic yet luxurious, you’ll have a hard time leaving this riverfront cabin rental in Gold Beach. Don’t be surprised if you want to spend all of your time on the high wrap-around deck, where you can look out to the trees, or in the hot tub that offers tranquil river views. Perfect for a couple’s getaway or a vacation destination for a small family, the cabin has three beds and two bathrooms, sleeping up to five guests. Plus, you’ll find all types of extra amenities like a coffee station, a dedicated work area, and private trails.
2. Whispering Pines Treehouse - Florence
The Whispering Pines Treehouse in Florence, Oregon, is the type of place that you’ll book on repeat. Sit in the trees above the ocean and enjoy both forest and ocean views. In fact, one review stated, "We have traveled all over the world and never stayed in a house with such an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean." And, of course, you are in one of the most scenic stretches of Highway 101, so there’s beauty everywhere you look. This treehouse has three levels, floor-to-ceiling windows, and even an outdoor sauna and shower, which makes it easy to relax after a day of adventure.
3. McKenzie Bridge River House – McKenzie Bridge
Peace and quiet are easy to find at this riverfront cabin that’s nestled in the beautiful Willamette National Forest. Inside the vacation rental, you’ll find plenty of space to spread out and relax, especially next to the floor-to-ceiling windows that make it easy to connect with nature no matter what the weather may be. Outside, you can hear birds singing in the trees and the steady flow of water as this Oregon Airbnb sits near the shores of the McKenzie River. Relax along the river banks or on the large deck and enjoy the quiet. Don't forget your swimsuit so you can also unwind in the hot tub.
4. Changing Tides Oceanfront Retreat - Yachats
It’s easy to bring your entire family to this oceanfront Airbnb in Yachats, with the home's six beds and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. As you walk inside, you’ll immediately be impressed by the cozy vibe of the home and massive windows that let in ample natural light and allow you to watch the waves crash on the shore. However, the outdoor space is one of my favorites, as you can enjoy the ocean breeze while sitting on the large deck or next to the fire pit. You can even watch sea lions play in the water and hear the waves as you soak in the hot tub.
5. Oregon Coast Retreat – Lincoln City
You can leave feeling completely relaxed and reenergized after a stay at this beautiful beachfront Airbnb in Lincoln City, Oregon. This home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen, and plenty of space for the entire family. This home sits right along the shore, and you’ll have nothing blocking your view of the Pacific Ocean. Sit on the patio, on the grassy area, or even in the hot tub to enjoy the Oregon Coast scenery. It’s easy to unwind and disconnect here.
6. Remote Oceanfront Getaway - Oceanside
I have personally stayed at this waterfront Airbnb in Oceanside, Oregon, and it’s absolutely charming. I spent my evenings on the back porch, watching sea lions play in the water and birds flying overhead. This is the perfect place for the entire family, as there are five beds and two bathrooms, but be aware that the stairs leading to the two upstairs bedrooms are extremely steep. I particularly love that this vacation rental is tucked away in the small town of Oceanside, a remote community near Tillamook and near the historic Cape Meares Lighthouse. Although you will need to do a little extra planning, as services like gas stations and grocery stores are a bit of a drive away.
I may be biased, but Oregon is one of the most scenic states in the U.S., and when you spend your day surrounded by ocean or river landscapes, it is hard to disagree.
