Nestled into the woods near Portland is one of the most unique, incredible homes in the state.

In 1999, airplane-lover Bruce Campbell bought an old Boeing 727 Jetliner and made it into a home. This sleek, unusual dwelling is actually very practical. There’s running water, climate control, electricity, and they’re clean, safe and spacious. Campbell points out how wasteful it is when old airplanes are discarded and scrapped, and how one great alternative is to recycle old planes into homes.
