There's no better way to spend a fall day with the family than at one of Northern California's many beautiful pumpkin patches, and Bishop's Pumpkin Farm is just the place. Boasting tons of pumpkins and endless entertainment, this is a must-visit destination for the autumn season.
Bishop's Farm first started growing pumpkins in 1973 and families have been visiting them every year ever since. Their 90-acre pumpkin patch is the largest u-pick pumpkin field in the country, if not the entire world. Now, that's saying something!
The pumpkin patch is definitely the farm's main attraction. After all, there's a ton of them to choose from in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Whether you prefer them long or short, big or small, there's definitely a pumpkin here that's calling your name.
However, there's so much more to Bishop's Farm than pumpkins. Endless attractions can also be found here, including a zipline, petting zoo, sunflower labyrinth, and a carousel.
Another notable attraction is the BPF Line, a small open-air train which takes visitors through the jumbo pumpkin fields, past apple orchards, and right by the horse pasture. It's definitely a favorite among both kids and adults.
Of course, the farm food is NOT to be passed up. Indulge in delicious harvest fare, including big turkey legs, corn on the cob, corn dogs, apple cider, and homemade fudge. These fall flavors simply always satisfy.
One day may not be enough to experience all that this lovely pumpkin patch has to offer, but it sure is a great place to start.
