The Airfield Cafe in Hampton, New Hampshire offers a unique dining experience with an aviation theme and great food.
Few things are more fun than enjoying a meal that feels like an adventure. Luckily there are lots of places in New Hampshire that offer unique dining experiences. From eating just a few feet from a scenic covered bridge to dining in an old schoolhouse, the state is full of fun and scrumptious options. But this one, which includes actual planes, is unlike any other!
The Airfield Cafe in Hampton offers one of the most fun and unique dining experiences in the state.
Located right on an active airfield, this place definitely lives up to its name.
The cafe, which has expanded significantly over the years, allows patrons to enjoy a great breakfast or lunch while watching planes on the small, grassy airfield adjacent.
You can imagine that this is extra-fun when it's warm and outdoor dining works. But even the inside comes with an aviation theme.
The original cafe was small, and while it's still not huge, the expanded restaurant allows for more patrons with more space.
Watching planes zip around the runway and seeing the aviation theme is fun, but it's the food that has us coming here on winter days when there's not a plane in sight. Their breakfasts are legendary!
Complementing things like omelets are giant piles of French toast and waffles covered in fresh wild Maine blueberries.
They've recently added some new items to the menu, including this southern chicken fried steak.
Or, get the regular steak for one of the heartiest lunches you can find.
If you're looking for something lighter, they've also got a wide variety of sandwiches.
This is one place that can't be missed if you like your meals to be an activity in addition to a way to fuel your way! One visit and you'll be jetting around town getting all your errands done.
The Airfield Cafe is open every day year-round from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch can be ordered all day. You can learn more about them and their history by checking out their website. You can also follow them on Facebook. They can be reached at 603-964-1654.
