Don't buy into the myth that people from Boston and New York try to sell you – you don't need to go to the big city to find amazing and downright cool restaurants. 1. The Little Red Schoolhouse, Campton

This restaurant is a charming old schoolhouse from the front, but step in and you'll feel like you're in a treehouse. 3. Castle in the Clouds, Moultonborough

Tucked within the famed Lucknow Estate's carriage house, this restaurants has some of the most magnificent views you've ever encountered – plus you can dine either in a converted carriage house stall or on a gorgeous patio. 4. The Airfield Cafe, North Hampton
