A natural oasis hidden among the hustle and bustle of city life, the popular destination features a nature center that's well worth a visit.
Explore the indoor nature center, where you can admire an aquarium, get a closer look at a beehive, and check out the rest of the exhibits.
However, if you're craving some time outdoors, you'll find that piece of heaven on one of the hiking paths. Just make sure you wear comfy shoes.
Brimming with wildflowers, the nature reserve's trails are all rated easy - with the shortest tallying just .04 of a mile.
The Tanglevine Loop Trail is short and sweet. However, you'll likely run into other walkers and maybe even some wildlife, like a few deer or turkey.
For a longer trek, follow the 2.4-mile Broken Ridge, Hickory Ridge, and Tanglevine Trail Loop. The trail is paved. However, you'll face some steep areas, so be prepared for that.
Dogs are not permitted on the trails, so keep that in mind when visiting. The trails can also get rather busy.
