As it turns out, North Dakota is home to several wonderful seafood joints, but there's one in particular that stands out above the rest in terms of amazing quality, convenient location, and almost oceanside freshness. Anyone looking for the best seafood in North Dakota ought to head up to Fargo and check out Deep Blue Seafood; not only does it have some of the best seafood in Fargo, but it's also home to the best crab legs in the entire region. Deep Blue Seafood is nestled within a nice strip mall in Fargo.
It doesn't look like much on the outside; it's minimalist, simple, and... totally misleading.
Walk in and discover the truth: Deep Blue is Fargo's first and only fresh seafood market and restaurant, and it sets the bar ridiculously high.
It's got a coastal vibe despite being located in a strip mall. You can almost smell the ocean in these here walls.
The entire menu is amazing and it's worth returning over and over to try each item.
We're big fans of the salmon and the scallops, but there's one item that's absolutely worth close scrutiny (and lots of celebration).
The crab legs at Deep Blue Seafood are seriously so. Amazingly. Incredible.
We cannot overstate the deliciousness of this particular menu item. Folks quite literally come from all over the state - and sometimes out of state - to indulge in these undersea morsels that sometimes seem like they've been sent by the heavens themselves.
They're enormous and a spectacular value for the price.
If you're a fan of crab legs, this is the place to go. If you've never tried crab legs, but you'd like to, this is the place to start.
There are also plenty of wonderful products available to take home, too, so you can cook up some Deep Blue magic in your own kitchen.
Of course, we're pretty sure that no matter how hard we try, we're never going to recreate those crab legs.
