Most Floridians or visitors to The Sunshine State don’t necessarily think about hiking when they think about Florida. Most visitors to Florida have a one-track-vacation-mode mind where all they can think about are sandy beaches and clear blue ocean. 1. Ancient Dunes Trail - Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine
The Ancient Dunes Trails in Anastasia State Park clocks in at under a mile and remains well-hidden compared to other parts of the park. There is much to see along this fascinating trail, with a coastal habitat worth exploring. The most difficult part might be the steep, sandy bowls in the ancient dunes, but other than that it’s a quick loop hike.
2. Florida Trail, Bronson State Forest
At around 2.2 miles roundtrip, this hike showcases so much beautiful nature. Hikers can hit the trails and follow the Florida National Scenic Trail signs and observe sand, live oaks and longleaf pines. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for gopher tortoises who call this area of Florida home.
3. Cypress Lakes Preserve - Ridge Manor
Cypress Lake Preserve sits on a 324-acre tract of land in Ridge Manor, Florida. However, the swampy Florida Trail clocks in at under 3 miles, which makes a quick adventure though this maritime marsh. Get ready for an abundance of wildflowers in bloom and gigantic Cypress trees as far as the eye can see.

8. Enchanted Forest Sanctuary - Titusville
Don't be surprised to find a gopher tortoise leading you on this stunning 2.5-mile nature trail. Enchanted Forest Sanctuary has been lauded as one of the best family hikes in Florida. 9. Falling Waters Sinkhole Trail - Falling Waters State Park
