Hidden treasures abound at these quaint vintage shops, but one of our favorite places has to be West End Antiques Mall in Richmond.

If you love the thrill of a good deal, visiting West End Antiques Mall will easily become your best day trip in Virginia. With hundreds of vendor booths regularly changing inventory, this massive store is filled to the brim with one-of-a-kind finds. You could spend all day sifting through the shelves and bins to uncover the perfect home decor, furniture, and trinkets. Ready to experience it for yourself? Empty out your trunk, drive over to Richmond, and prepare for an amazing shopping experience.

What Makes West End Antiques Mall So Unique

West End Antiques Mall isn't just a pit stop; it's a true shopping destination. Voted Richmond's Best Antique Store, this store boasts 53,000 square feet of merchandise. You don't need to be a professional antique dealer to appreciate quality craftsmanship and style. All of the merchandise is well-marked, and the staff is happy to give backstories on some of the pieces if they have more information!

For those lucky enough to live within driving distance of Richmond, an incredible antique mall awaits. It's no exaggeration to say that you could spend an entire day here. There are approximately 250 booths to browse, each filled with one-of-a-kind collectibles, antiques, and treasures galore.

Whether you need an entire dining room set or perhaps that wonderfully whimsical front yard decoration, you're bound to find it here. Everywhere you look, you're eyes will be delighted by intricate details, various textures and shapes, and all sorts of beautifully displayed items from a time gone by.

Signature Products You'll Find at This Richmond Antique Mall

While you can find just about anything at this Richmond antique mall, it specializes in a few key items. You find lots of luxe mahogany furniture—drawers, hutches, tables, etc.—in almost every corner of the mall. Most seem handmade from decades ago, which means they're built to last. The store also specializes in textiles, carpets, light fixtures, and fine art pieces.

Local shoppers love how some booths are categorized by time period and style, as well. For instance, the mall sells plenty of Mid-Century modern furniture and accessories from vendors such as TeeGeeBee Mid-Century, Retrology, Barkhaus Moderne, and Mid-Centrics. If that doesn't match your taste, however, you'll also find decor styles like English Countryside, Virginia Colonial, Rustic, and Industrial throughout the store.

Bonus: Gardeners can also find lots of beautiful accessories for their outdoor spaces. Search through the rows of statues, pots, gargoyles, benches, and ceramics that will pair perfectly with the lush plants and flowers in your backyard. Most of the garden stuff is in the front courtyard of the mall, but some vendors sell outdoor things, too.

What to Know Before Planning Your Virginia Shopping Day Trip

If you're making a day of this shopping adventure, West End Antiques Mall offers a few helpful services that make your experience even more enjoyable. For example, shoppers can put an item on hold for 24 hours, so they can enjoy Richmond's other walkable shopping destinations before packing up the car and heading home. Although once you find that special piece, you'll likely want to snag it immediately.

West End also offers a 72-hour return policy for a full refund, and local delivery is also available for your convenience. Talk about an ideal customer experience! Also, if you sell vintage decor and goods, you can become a vendor at West End Antiques Mall. The store rents space by the foot, and vendor booths typically begin at 100 square feet or above.

If you want to gift someone a good shopping day, gift cards are available, too! Check out the store's website and Facebook page for more information on all the above.

All in all, there are plenty of reasons to swing by West End Antiques. It's a great place to visit any time of year, has plenty of spacious parking, and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. If you're not spending your entire day here, you'll need at least a few hours to get through the whole mall.

Afterward, tack on some other popular attractions nearby like Nest Antiques, Arts & Gifts, or RVA Antiques. But don't be surprised if you daydream about redecorating your entire home after this unique Virginia adventure.

Where to Eat During Your Shopping Adventure

West End Antiques is the star of this shopping excursion, but the day wouldn't be complete without some delicious food and drink. After all, shopping can make you work up an appetite! We highly recommend stopping by Ben Wong's Tea for coffee, boba, and delicious pastries. It's only a five-minute drive from the antique mall.

For lunch, head to Taco Bamba Richmond just down the road for fresh street tacos and other Mexican delicacies. Or head to Mama J's Kitchen in downtown Richmond for true Virginia comfort food. Save room for dessert from Shyndigz Restaurant, where you'll find incredible homemade pies and cakes. You'll be happy you stopped for some fuel!
