The Book Festival In Montana That’s A Book Lover’s Dream Come True
The Montana Book Festival in Missoula is a must-attend event for book lovers, featuring readings, panels, and unique events like Pie & Whiskey.
Every September, a bunch of bibliophiles gather in downtown Missoula for the annual Montana Book Festival. The goal of this annual event is to foster interest in literature for people of all ages, and if you love to get lost in a good book, it's a festival you won't want to miss. Come celebrate the written word in style next month!
The Montana Book Festival has been a tradition for over 30 years.
In 2015, it was rebranded after its primary organizers switched. The community decided to keep the festival alive, and these days, it's better than ever.
The three-day festival includes array of readings, panels, parties, and exhibits.
These include everything from poetry readings to workshops on the writing process.
This year's festival dates are September 12-15, 2019, and there are plenty of accommodations still available.
In fact, some local hotels offer discounts for festival-goers.
If you go, don't miss Pie & Whisky, which is as amazing as it sounds.
Pie & Whiskey got its start in Spokane, Washington in 2012. The event serves up some seriously good writing along with its signature dessert and booze.
You'll even see some out-of-the-box events at the Montana Book Festival, like Erotic Fan Fiction for the adult crowd.
Most of the readings will be held at Fact & Fiction or The Public House, while quite a few of the panels take place at the Dana Gallery.
The book fair - which you won't want to miss - will be at the Residence Inn Marriott on September 14th. You'll also find plenty of other festival-related events all over town.
There truly isn't a more beautiful city for the Montana Book Festival to take over.
Downtown Missoula sits right on the Clark Fork River, and you'll be creatively inspired and both visually and intellectually stimulated when you attend this festival.
You can attend the Montana Book Festival simply by purchasing a $15 festival button, which will also earn you discounts at some of the local restaurants and bars. Learn more about the festival here -- and while you're at it, enjoy the city of Missoula to the fullest.
