Wintertime in Missouri means a ton of fun, especially for those of us who love spending time outdoors during the year’s coldest season. While we can all probably use some thrilling winter fun – like snow tubing and sledding – sometimes we just want to slow things down. Clocking in at 27,600 square feet, Steinberg Skating Rink in St. Louis earns props as the largest ice skating rink in Missouri and in the Midwest.

Nestled in Forest Park, the seasonal skating rink usually runs from mid-November through February, so you have plenty of time to plan a trip – or a few – to the rink.

Steinberg Skating Rink offers all day skate admission, so you can spend as much, or as little, time as you want on the ice.

When you’re not gliding around the massive rink, relax in the indoor or in the outdoor seating area. If you need to warm up, gather around one of the bonfires between laps.

All of that skating can lead to quite an appetite. Steinberg Cafe has you covered, offering such goodies as hot dogs, burgers, and pizza. Pair it with a hot chocolate to help you stay toasty.

The rink also offers free wifi and parking, and you can stash your belongings in one of the coin lockers. Bring your own ice skates, or rent a pair.

For fast-paced fun, plan a visit to the rink for its sessions of Bumper Cars on Ice. The 2022-2023 season runs through mid-January.
