There are so many things to do in Mississippi. From the hills of the north to the lively Gulf Coast, there's something here for everyone—you just have to know where to look. The best Southern food, gorgeous views, and incredible adventures await in the Magnolia State.
This year, I'm checking off a list of 26 things to do in Mississippi in 2026, complete with popular tourist attractions and hidden gems. Whether traveling with family or looking for solo time, add these fun experiences to your travel bucket list—you won't regret it.
1. Visit Natchez National Historical Park - Natchez

Learn more about Mississippi's history at Natchez National Historical Park, which has scenic drives, stunning nature, and preserved historical landmarks. It's one of the best ways to get out into nature, and I hope to make it there in 2026. I'll probably get a National Parks Pass before I go, which gets me into the parks at a lower rate.
2. Watch Sunset at Biloxi Lighthouse Pier - Biloxi

Enjoy stunning Gulf Coast views from this iconic lighthouse in Mississippi. It’s a picture-perfect spot for a peaceful evening by the water. Bring your camera for this one, especially when you visit at dusk. The colors of the sky should absolutely be captured on film.
3. Explore Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art - Biloxi

Discover the whimsical ceramics of George E. Ohr, the self-proclaimed "Mad Potter of Biloxi." Enjoy rotating exhibits in this architecturally stunning museum, a must-see for anyone who appreciates art and design. It's one of the coolest museums to explore in Mississippi.

Don't miss your chance to hear QUEEN VS ABBA—a classic take on the musical stylings of two iconic 70s and 80s bands. The show will take place January 17, 2026 at The Mary C. 7. Enjoy Soul Food at Mama Hamil’s - Madison

Visit the humble beginnings of the King of Rock and Roll and learn about his journey to stardom. This site in Tupelo, Mississippi, includes a museum, chapel, and beautifully landscaped grounds. While not an extensive tour by any means, it's great for music aficionados and those appreciating a good origin story. I can't wait to go in 2026.

The first major exhibit of 2026 begins in March and is titled L.V. Hull: Love Is a Sensation, with work by the iconic self-proclaimed "unusual artist."
