Get Your Outdoor Fix With The Whole Family At Pratt Nature Center In Connecticut
Looking for a fun area to explore outdoors with the whole family? It can certainly be tough to get the little ones away from their screens, but going outside and getting some exercise does a world of good for kids and adults alike. One of our favorite places to enjoy the outdoors at any time of year is Pratt Nature Center in Connecticut. This 257-acre preserve in Litchfield County has magnificent scenery and plenty of opportunities for fun, no matter what season it is. You can enjoy all kinds of activities here, whether you’re looking to go out and hike the trails solo or with family in tow—or even enroll the kids in a summer camp adventure.
One of the best things about Pratt Nature Center is how much variety there is in the landscape here. You'll find a mountain, fields, wetlands, forest, and a pond. This means there's lots of chances to spot a variety of critters out and about.
You'll even find a small collection of farm animals here. Interacting with goats and cows is an opportunity that many kids today don't get to experience, especially those that live in the city.
There's a huge selection of programs for kids here, whether you're looking for after-school nature classes, programs for home-schooled kids, or summer camps. This is such a great chance for kids to get in touch with nature and the outdoors.
