Waterfalls in Wisconsin You Can Swim In

Where are the best natural swimming holes in Wisconsin?

Wisconsin might be a quiet place, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a fair share of delightful swimming pools and holes, many of which are all-natural. Of course, “best” is subjective, but we do have a couple of beloved favorites, like the incredible pools at Amnicon Falls State Park. One of those pools is especially incredible since it features a waterfall you can swim beneath. It’s a rare treat and sure to thrill! Then, head to Hartman Creek State Park, which is at the southernmost end of Chain O’ Lakes. The water is clear, cool, and beautiful – perfect for a summer day! Of course, many lakes in Wisconsin make for the perfect swimming holes, but those are our two favorites.

What are some of the most popular places to swim in Wisconsin?

So, that being said, what are some of the most popular places for swimming in Wisconsin? We just happen to have plenty of favorites to share. We really love the outdoor adventure park that’s essentially “taken over” at Quarry Beach, which is a family-friendly fun zone that’s sure to have the kids asking to return time and time again. Be sure to also enjoy the relatively shallow – but totally fun – Soo Lake in Wisconsin. Last, but not all – and not least – check out Redgranite Quarry, which served as a quarry once upon a time, but is now a safe haven for nature lovers and swimmers to enjoy during the warmer months of the year.

What are some of the best Wisconsin swimming holes for families?

Any of the above-mentioned swimming holes in Wisconsin are fair game for families with kids. Seriously, they’ll absolutely love Quarry Beach, but what are some other swimming holes for kids in Wisconsin? Check out Fox Brook Lake, which features a soft, sandy bottom that’s wonderful for the little ones, and then head to Menominee Quarry Lake, which has a swimming area specifically designated for little swimmers (and their parents). Wisconsin is one of those states that simply doesn’t get the love it deserves, and its swimming holes tend to be especially forgotten about. Well, we’re here to change that – what are your favorite things to do outside in Wisconsin?
