17 Reasons Milwaukee Is The BEST City In America
The little city known as Milwaukee is gaining a lot of attention, and for good reason. We have all of the Midwestern charm you need, while still getting that big city feel, and there’s always something going on. Everyone that lives here already knows that it’s the absolute best place to live, but if you didn’t know, here are 17 great reasons:

Milwaukeeans are quite the foodies. Most get togethers revolve around food, and our little city is full of the most mouthwatering food you can find. You'll never go hungry here.

Our city is art, just look at our Art Museum, but it's also full of artists, and we all support each other. There's no shortage of art fairs, galleries, and street art here, and we're always welcoming more! We have beautiful murals going up all around the city, constantly giving it new life. Whether you're a painter, crafter, or anything in between, there's a place for you here.

Living next to a Great Lake is a luxury you won't get used to. Home of Lake Michigan, we get that coastal feel without having to go very far from our Midwest comfort.

Speaking of Midwest comfort, we never run short of it. Milwaukee is full of small businesses run by people with big hearts. No matter where you go, you'll find homemade sausage, cheese, and everything in between. It's easy to get lost in the bustle of the city, but you're still in Wisconsin, and it's hard to not feel at home.

We're not short of diversity here. Milwaukee often gets a bad rep for being segregated, but we're always trying to come together and embrace each other's cultures. Whether you're learning to polka, attending a fiesta, or chowing down on some soul food, you don't have to go far to experience something new.

Milwaukee is known as the City of Festivals. Most people know that we are home to Summerfest, the largest music festival in the world, but we also have festivals nearly every weekend in the summer. From Festa Italiana, to German Fest and Indian Summer, festivals are never-ending. One of the best parts? Almost all of them end the night with a firework show.

Wisconsin is full of state parks, but Milwaukee surprisingly is full of them. You don't have to go far to kick back and enjoy the outdoors.

Our skyline and architecture alone will make you fall in love. This is one city that's easy on the eyes.

The soundtrack to the summer is often the sweet sound of motorcycles around here. The popular American motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, was founded in our city in 1903, and you can learn all about it at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Not only do we host the largest musical festival in the world, we also host countless incredible local artists every night. Whatever genre you might be feeling today, have no fear, you'll find it here.

Rapidly competing with coffee cities like Seattle, Milwaukee ranks high up there. We have multiple local roasters, and you can almost guarantee that you'll find an outstanding cup of joe wherever you go.

It's true, we are called "Brew City" for a reason. Home to big name breweries like Miller and Pabst, it's not uncommon to find $1 domestic beers at your local pub. What many people don't know is that we are also home to many local craft breweries, so you'll never get bored with the same old beer.

Besides bars, we have quite a few breweries. Whether it's a brewery, brewpub, or microbrewery, there's always a tour to be discovered, big or small.

And we support them no matter what. Not only are we home to a team as great as the Milwaukee Brewers, we also have a pretty sweet stadium that has a moveable roof so you can enjoy some baseball no matter the weather.

Here in Wisconsin we are spoiled, and especially in Milwaukee. Any night of the week you can go out and find friendly people partying on nearly any corner in the city, and that's because there's a bar on every corner. Seriously, you can find a bar anywhere. It's always a party in Milwaukee, in the best possible way.

Awesome culture aside, you won't go broke living here. We have an amazing public transportation system, and a reasonable cost of living.

You'll never experience a city quite like Milwaukee, and it's because of the people. The people here are second-to-none. Everyone is always willing to lend a hand, a smile, a thought. There are a lot of great places to live in the U.S., but none will make you feel at home quite like the people of Milwaukee.
