1. Beartooth Highway

2. Yellowstone National Park

Independence Rock, southwest of Casper, is a moving experience. 4. Heart Mountain Interpretive Center
Visiting the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center is a sobering experience. It's located near Cody and shows the life of the Japanese and Japanese-Americans who were confined here during World War II. This trip will make you empathize and truly understand prejudice in America throughout history.
5. Oregon Trail Ruts
The Oregon Trail Ruts, located near Guernsey, is another stark reminder of those who have gone before us. That was an era where people risked everything in pursuit of a more profitable life. 6. White Mountain Petroglyphs
White Mountain Petroglyphs, located near Rock Springs, is a unique trip that will let you experience history firsthand. The Plains and Great Basin Indians left behind a legacy of their life that visitors can have a direct connection with through hundreds of etchings left behind. To have this connection with something from 200 to 1,000 years ago is pretty incredible.
7. Medicine Wheel
Medicine Wheel, located on top of the Bighorn Range, is one of the most significant and well preserved Native American sites in North America. It's a sacred site that has survived the test of time. Prayer offerings are still left there even today by Native Americans. This is a very unique connection with tribes in the area from 500 to 1500 years ago. A trip to the Chapel of the Transfiguration, located in Moose, will ignite a powerful spiritual connection with nature.
