Hike Though New York’s Chimney Bluffs State Park, Then Dine At Hometown Eatery
Enjoy a day trip in New York with a hike at Chimney Bluffs State Park followed by a meal at Hometown Eatery in North Rose.
If you like hiking and trying out restaurants that are new to you, why not do both in one trip? If you'd like a nice day trip that includes outdoor time and a meal, you'll want to hike then dine at this small town New York spot. Why not spend the day away from home for a change of scenery? It's time to add another day trip to your bucket list.
The day starts out with a beautiful hike out at the East Bay, Mudge Creek, & Chimney Bluffs Trail at Chimney Bluffs State Park.
This loop trail covers two miles of mostly waterside hiking, with areas including the beautiful rock formations you see below. It's just stunning!
Expect spending around an hour to hike this trail at an average speed, or more if there is snow on the ground. Plus, if you wanted to hike for longer, there are other trails in the area to choose from and add onto your outdoor adventure.
After your hike, then dine at a little place in North Rose named Hometown Eatery. It's a small town place with friendly service and amazing home cooked food.
Everything from tasty cheeseburgers and trash plates, to regular breakfast items and prime rib, is on the menu for you to devour. If you've been through the Rochester area before, garbage meals are nothing new.
Outside of delicious messy plates, make sure you grab dessert before you go, and dig in. It's homemade, and it's delicious.
You can check out Hometown Eatery's official Facebook page for menu updates and closings. As for the trail, you'll find a forecast, reviews, a trail map, and more information at the Chimney Bluffs page on AllTrails.
