The Lakefront Airbnb in New York Is an Adventure Lover’s Paradise
This pet-friendly, four-season cabin on Lake Ontario comes with a private dock, hot tub, kayaks. and its own bar room called the Lakehouse Saloon.
Most lakefront cabins in New York hand you a nice view and call it a day. But if you really want to level up your next vacation, we found a cabin that hands you a dock, a hot tub, a fire pit, and a bar room with a dart board, and that's before you've even walked through the door.
Set across from Sandy Pond with direct access to Lake Ontario, this pet-friendly, four-season cabin sleeps six and blends rustic charm with lakefront comfort. Inside, you'll find vaulted ceilings and oversized windows that flood the main living area with light. The whole property is built for year-round use, whether you're here for a summer paddle or a snowed-in weekend by the fire.
Three Bedrooms, One Very Good Bar
Inside, the sleeping setup covers every kind of trip you're planning. A romantic getaway with your partner? Use the king bed with its own gas fireplace in bedroom one. Bringing along family members? Use the second king in bedroom two and a queen in bedroom three. How about some kids? There's a twin in the common space, perfect for a sixth guest. A newly remodeled bathroom brings in a modern stand-up shower and high-end finishes, and an in-unit washer and dryer keep packing light an option.
Then there's the Lakehouse Saloon, a dedicated bar room with its own cozy gas fireplace and a dart board, built for the nights when the adults are not ready to head to bed yet. Two 65-inch HDTVs with Roku cover the quieter nights or rainier days, and a dedicated workspace with wifi means remote work doesn't have to wait until you're back home.
Everything You Need Right Outside
Step out into the backyard, and the perks only multiply. Two tandem kayaks and two paddle boards (life jackets included) sit ready by your private dock, putting Sandy Pond right at your doorstep. On the back deck, you can choose your own vibe: gather around the wood-burning fireplace, relax by the propane fire table, or dine al fresco under the massive 11-foot umbrella. The hot tub runs year-round, 24 hours a day, and a gas grill and lawn games round out the rest.
Traveling with kids? A high chair, pack 'n play, children's books, and toys are all provided, so the little ones are covered too. And yes, your dog is welcome (up to three, with a pet fee), making this one of the few lakefront spots where the whole family, four legs included, gets to come along.
A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Book
Self check-in with a smart lock keeps arrival simple, and you'll have private, exclusive access to the entire house for your stay. Exterior security cameras cover the front and rear of the property for safety, with no views into the home or hot tub. The property uses a scent diffuser and mildly scented detergent, so guests with severe sensitivities should note that in advance. Fishing isn't permitted from the dock out of respect for neighboring moored boats, and checkout is 10 a.m. sharp, given same-day cleaning turnovers.
If you're planning a couples' retreat by the fire, a family week on the water, or a group getaway that ends up mostly happening in the saloon, this Lake Ontario cabin gives you the rare combination of total privacy and genuinely fun amenities, all within reach of Sandy Pond's calm shoreline.
