This 21-Mile Road Trip Leads to Some of the Most Scenic Parts of New Hampshire, No Matter What Time of Year It Is

Discover a 21-mile scenic drive in New Hampshire that's packed with mountain views, waterfront scenery, and perhaps even some wildlife.

It's no surprise that we love exploring New Hampshire. Whether it's finding new restaurants or seeking out the hidden gems located throughout the state, there's never any shortage of new ways to appreciate our own backyard. While we love getting outside, sometimes simply hopping in the car and taking a drive is the best way to enjoy the world around us. One of the best scenic drives in New Hampshire is Moose Alley—a short, scenic drive. It's a great way to remember just why we all love it here.

To New Hampshire's Moose Alley, make your way to Coos County tucked up in the north country of New Hampshire. Before you even head off on your adventure, you'll be surrounded by beauty. With town features like a covered bridge and plenty of wide-open spaces, you might want to plan on spending some extra time here.

The name Moose Alley is certainly memorable, and it's also accurate! The remote nature of this area means that you have a good chance of encountering a moose during the spring, especially if you're out at dawn or dusk. Just remember to give these magnificent creatures plenty of space.

The trip from Pittsburg to Connecticut Lakes State Forest offers a chance to see some of New Hampshire's quaint towns as well as lots of rural land.

There are lots of natural features to enjoy along the 35-minute drive, but the bodies of water are among our favorites. Keep an eye out for Lake Francis, followed by First Connecticut Lake, Second Connecticut Lake, Third Connecticut Lake, and Fourth Connecticut Lake. This is one of the most beautiful waterfront drives in NH.

Once you've arrived at the state forest, you can choose to hop out to explore, or simply turn around and head back the same way you came. You'll love seeing some of the most scenic places in New Hampshire on this drive. Throughout the year, this is a beautiful drive that offers everything you're looking for if you love New Hampshire's natural features. This is undoubtedly one of the best New Hampshire road trip ideas we've got!
