From our peaceful country drives to our beautiful byways, Montana really makes us want to take a back road. And if you've ever spent time in Bozeman's backyard, also known as the Bridger Range, you know exactly what we're talking about. This scenic drive will take your breath away.
The Bridger Mountain Range is a subrange of the Rocky Mountains best seen from the Bozeman area.
The scenic drive takes you from Bozeman to Wilsall (or vice versa) down Highway 86.
Bridger Canyon is absolutely breathtaking.
There's no other drive quite like this in Montana.
The Bridger Range Scenic Drive is a pleasant alternative to I-90.
Actually, that's an understatement. This route is 100 times as gorgeous.
There are no services along this route, so stock up on snacks before you go.
You'll want to stop and take photos more than once.
If you take a slight detour onto Fairy Lake Road, you can see the incredible Sacagawea Peak.
This is the highest point in the Bridger Range, and it's spectacular.
