Day 1: Flathead Lake
Not only is Flathead Lake breathtaking, it also happens to be the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Start your scenic road trip in Montana here and spend the day on a boat tour, relaxing by the lake, or exploring one of the lakeside towns, like Polson. For more information, click here.
Day 2: Glacier National Park
Spending only a single day at Glacier is a bit of a tragedy... unless, of course, you're on a road trip exploring ALL the natural wonders in Montana. Besides, one full day allows you plenty of time to drive down Going-to-the-Sun Road, where you'll find some of the best views in the park. For more information, click here.
Day 3: Bighorn Canyon
You'll want to get up bright and early on the 3rd day because it's a 7-hour drive from Glacier National Park to Bighorn Canyon. However, it's well worth it to take in the views from this natural masterpiece, which we share with Wyoming. For more information, click here.
Day 4: The Beartooth Highway
The next day, you'll want to get up early again, so you can head to the Beartooth Highway. This 68-mile stretch of US Highway 212 is one of the most scenic drives in the nation, and you'll want to pull over as often as possible to check out the views. Then, head up US-89 N and I-90 W until you can camp out at your next destination. For more information, click here.

The Ringing Rocks aren't far from the Lewis and Clark Caverns, but they can be a little tough to find (not to mention the rough road). Located near Whitehall, these rocks are special because of the way they ring like bells when hit with a hammer. For more information, click here.
