If You Only Take 5 Road Trips In Montana, Make Them These

Prioritize five road trips in the Treasure State to experience its finest gems.

Road trip season is almost upon us... we promise. And while it would be amazing to drive down every highway and back road in this breathtakingly beautiful state, that's simply not a realistic goal for the vast majority of us. Prioritize these 5 road trips and you'll experience some of the Treasure State's finest gems.

1. The Natural Wonders road trip

On this road trip, your destinations will be some of our most impressive natural wonders. You'll start with a relaxing soak at Lolo Hot Springs, comb through the Lewis & Clark Caverns, and end at Flathead Lake, with plenty of adventures in between.

2. The haunted road trip

Are you afraid of ghosts? On the

haunted road trip, you'll tour some of our spookiest spots, like the Lobby Cafe in Great Falls and the Dumas Brothel Museum in Butte, all of which have reported paranormal activity.

3. A waterfalls road trip

Montana has hundreds of gorgeous waterfalls, so you could map out a dozen waterfalls-themed road trips. However, we highly recommend this one.

4. The fall foliage road trip

There is no beauty quite like Montana in the fall. This route takes you through most of the northwest corner, which gets the best fall foliage in the state.

5. Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park

There's really no explanation needed as to why you should take this one.

How many road trips will you take this year? If you're a little short on time, you can always start with a day trip.
