Can you smell the fresh air, hear the rustling of the trees, and see beautiful vistas all around you? That is part of living in The Evergreen State. And we often love to enjoy it in all of its magnificence by sleeping under the stars while spending time in nature. If you're like us, then you’ll definitely love this unique campground with covered wagons in Washington. It’s located in the North Cascades and offers an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.
You'll find the Winthrop KOA on the outskirts of Winthrop.
This area at the base of North Cascades National Park is almost completely surrounded by forest land, so it's nice and quiet.
Winthrop, Washington's Old West town, is especially delightful to visit in the summer.
This area makes a great jumping off point for outdoor adventures of all types.
The campground is open from mid-April through the end of October, and it tends to fill up fast.
People love the location and the amenities. And despite the fact that this is a fairly large campground, guests experience plenty of privacy.
You can bring your tent, your RV, or book a cabin to rent...
...but for a truly unique experience, we recommend sleeping in one of the covered wagons. Considering Winthrop is Washington's Western-themed town, these accommodations are perfect.
The covered wagons can sleep four comfortably.
These special covered wagons in Washington come with bunk beds, a king-sized bed, outlets, and air conditioning. There is no bathroom, but there are plenty of facilities on the property.
Step inside and you'll see that you won't exactly be roughing it.
The wagons are equipped with sheets, blankets, and other necessities, just like your typical lodging option.
Come experience the Old West like nature intended (which was with WiFi).
While there's plenty to see and do in the area, there's also a lot going on right here.
For more information about reservations and rates, go to the official Winthrop KOA website as well as to the entity's Facebook page.
