Tips for Booking the Perfect Washington Cabin

Booking a cabin in Washington can be tricky, mostly because there are so many incredible options to choose from. The first step is to determine what area of the state you'd prefer to stay in. Most rural and secluded cabins are located in Eastern and Northern Washington, near the Cascade Mountains, Mount Baker, and Mount Rainier. We love staying in charming mountain towns like Gold Bar, North Bend, and Ashford, or near the Snoqualmie or Skykomish Rivers, as they're close to the best skiing, hiking, and kayaking opportunities.
Another tip is to determine whether you'd like a remote or suburban experience. If you're hoping to explore the restaurants and shops in small Washington towns, it's best to stay in a neighborhood or a cabin resort. But if you want a remote experience, homes off the beaten path, on a mountaintop, or near a lake or river are best.
Most Washington cabins are available all year-round, but winter and fall are usually peak seasons. Since several older cabins do not have central A/C, they might not be ideal for warm summer weather. But if you stay in winter, make sure you have the proper gear and a vehicle that can handle snow.
