Each year we endure cold and snowy winters with the promise of a gorgeous spring. It might feel like a long time before we get there, but it will be here before you know it and it's best to be ready to find campgrounds in New Hampshire that are filled with natural beauty. Camping in New Hampshire is always a wonderful way to get out into nature and away from the hectic life of the city. Check out Lafayette Campground in New Hampshire.
Lafayette Place Campground in Franconia Notch State Park has been voted one of the best in the state, and you'll want to be ready for the season in May!
The park is a fantastic base to explore one of the best parks in the state. Known for its access to fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking, this beauty is worth exploring for a few days.
This is why we love the idea of camping here. Wake up in the park, enjoy the outdoors, and then sleep under the stars.
The campground has 97 sites including 4
platforms, 49 pop-up tent areas, 21 standard sites, and 23 sites for tents only.
Each site has plenty of space for sleeping and enjoying a meal.
While the spots are beautiful, it's the access to the park that makes this place special. Enjoy rivers and green trees in the summer.
And the waterfront spots mean lots of relaxing.
If you're not much of a hiker, you'll want to be sure to visit the lakeside beach. It's one of the best in the state!
And, while the campground is staffed and ready for visitors officially in the summer, it's lovely in a whole different way throughout the year. While you won't find facilities open, the fall foliage is worth the trip.
And if you can handle a little cold and snow, a winter visit is pretty special too!
