Spend The Night Under A Tipi At This Unique Montana Campground
Lodgepole Gallery & Tipi Village offers a unique camping experience in Blackfeet tipis near Glacier National Park, combining stunning scenery with cultural immersion.
Considering Montanans live in the most visually stunning state in the country, it's not surprising that for most of us, camping is a favorite pastime. Sleeping in a tipi is an especially unique experience, and it's one you can enjoy at the Lodgepole Gallery & Tipi Village in Browning.
The Lodgepole Gallery & Tipi Village is a Blackfeet tipi village and Native American art gallery located just outside Glacier National Park, on the reservation.
Guests have come from all over the world, but they love to welcome their fellow Montanans.
The village is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains bordering Glacier, so the scenery is stunning.
And without the noise of everyday life, you'll feel like you've gone back in time.
Tipi rentals start at just $70.00 per night for one person.
Each additional adult is $16. They also have packages with meals included, and you can get a special group rate if you have quite a few campers.
In 2009, Lodgepole Gallery & Tipi Village was featured in 100 Greatest Trips, a Travel & Leisure book about the best travel destinations around the world.
It's amazing to visit and not only enjoy restful sleep, but to learn more about Blackfoot history and Native American culture.
The tipi rentals are seasonal here so add this trip to your spring or summer bucket list.
Depending on when you go, you can even participate in some activities, like fishing or art workshops.
Camping is a classic Montana pastime. Here are a few of our favorite campgrounds.
