The Mom & Pop Restaurant In Southern California That Serves Incredible Home Cooked Meals

When you're craving comfort food, a mom & pop restaurant is the place to go. You'll usually find home-cooked meals, served up in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. These places aren't fancy, but they sure are good! Here's one mom & pop that's near and dear to our hearts. Check out this little gem!

You'll find Snug Harbor on 2323 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica.

This quaint little spot has served customers since World War II. It still maintains a lot of its vintage vibe, with its original counter and stools.

The walls are covered with photos from the restaurant's past.

You'll love the friendly atmosphere here. It's a favorite with locals.

The breakfast speciality here is the hash. The sweet potato hash is really flavorful...

...and the bbq hash will melt in your mouth.

The waffles are perfection, and the waffle-wich makes them even better.

The club sandwich is a great choice for lunch (and it's pretty artistic, too).

Frank Leight created the Zwiebel burger, which is still served here today. It comes with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo.

You can watch the line cooks work their magic right behind the counter.

Snug Harbor is open every day for breakfast and lunch from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Have you dined at Snug Harbor? What's your favorite thing on the menu?
