At 2,500 square feet, the butterfly house is a must-see. With plenty of room to wander, it's the perfect spot to hang out with hundreds (maybe even thousands!) of beautiful butterflies.

Butterflies aren't the only winged creatures on display in the butterfly house. An observation bee hive will get you up close and personal with a thriving colony of bees. We have seen this before and it is fascinating to see the busy bees hard at work which is a rare sight to see without being stung. So now is your chance to get close with no risk. In addition to the butterfly house, Cypress Gardens also features a Swamparium and a gift shop. The swamparium is an aquarium and reptile exhibit that showcases the native creatures that use the local waterways as well as a few surprise guests from across the world like the African crocodile.
Plan to spend at least a few hours exploring the gorgeous vistas, the butterfly house, and the swamparium.

One of the best ways to enjoy Cypress Gardens is to take a boat ride. You can either embark on a guided boat tour or launch your own vessel for a voyage of your own. There is a strange beauty that can be found among these other-worldly trees as they reflect on the mirrored black water.

If you prefer to journey on your own two feet then there are plenty of trails to take advantage of on land. The preserve and gardens have both foot trails and water trails to explore.
