One of my favorite parts of fall is going to a pumpkin patch with my kids. We love tromping around a farm to pick out just the right pumpkins to take home. Carving our pumpkins is a treasured yearly tradition! We are lucky in Oregon to have access to many great pumpkin patches to visit. Sometimes, this abundance can make it hard to choose the right one for a day trip.

While you really can’t go wrong, one of the largest and best pumpkin patches in Oregon is The Pumpkin Patch, located on Sauvie Island, just outside Portland, Oregon’s city center. What I love about this farm, in addition to the stunning bounty of bright orange pumpkins, is the great range of other fun fall activities that are also available. Many of which are free of charge.

You’ll find farm animals, a produce market, corn maze, food stand, cafe, hay rides, gift shop, flowers, squash in a rainbow of colors, and so much more! So, head to The Pumpkin Patch for the perfect pre-Halloween day trip.
