It’s about that time of year when pumpkin spice-flavored everything is starting to pop up everywhere. But we find that there’s something special about pumpkins in their natural state. They appear in so many shapes and sizes, they’re fun to carve, and they taste delicious. Thankfully, we have many places in the Beaver State where you can get into the fall spirit and have some pumpkin-laden fun! Here are the eight best pumpkin patches in Oregon.
1. Bauman’s Farm and Garden, Gervais
With a history that dates back to 1895, Bauman’s Farm is the ultimate fall destination. Bring your entire family and spend a day at this pumpkin patch with activities such as a corn maze, Bug Train, petting zoo, and hay rides! Make sure to come hungry as you'll find delicious fall treats here—the apple cider donuts are a must try!
2. The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island
Just outside of Portland on Sauvie Island is a bountiful pumpkin patch with loads of fall activities. Throughout October, you can enjoy a corn maze, an animal barn, pumpkin-picking hayrides, a cow train, and so much more here. Give yourself plenty of time to visit the u-pick farm to find that perfect pumpkin to take home.
3. Lee Farms, Tualatin
Lee Farms is one of our favorite pumpkin patches in Tualatin. From Sept. 20 to Oct.31, 2025, attend this seventh-generation farm's Fall Festival. This historic farm is beautiful, and at 120 acres, there is plenty of space for all of the activities planned, including hay rides, tube slides, and farm animals. This is another Oregon pumpkin patch where we recommend you come hungry. The fresh apple cider and donuts are unforgettable.
4. French Prairie Gardens, St. Paul
French Prairie Gardens is where you should go to find the perfect pumpkin. While there are many fall activities to keep you busy, we recommend you plan a large chunk of time to explore the 12-acre u-pick pumpkin patch. Here, you will find more than 20 different pumpkin varieties to choose from.
5. Fir Point Farms, Aurora
For pumpkin patches near Portland, Fir Point Farms is a real gem! The Harvest Festival runs from Sept. 17 to Oct. 30, 2025, and has numerous activities like a petting zoo, corn maze, hay wagon rides, bounce houses, and pumpkin painting. Of course, you can also pick your own pumpkins to bring home with you.
6. Roloff Farms, Hillsboro
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the month of October, head to the Roloff Farm Pumpkin Festival for more activities than you could hurl a pumpkin at, including hay pyramids, a giant sandbox, mini golf, air cannons, and countless other fun things to do. There are also multiple food options available, making it easy to spend an entire day here.
7. Heiser Farms, Dayton
Just north of Salem is Heiser Farms, an Oregon pumpkin patch with activities and excitement for the entire family. You can navigate a corn maze, watch massive pumpkin cannons being fired, relax on a hay ride, and enjoy a petting zoo. There’s also a playground and mini tractors for the kids.
8. Jim Dandy Farm, Banks
The Jim Dandy Farm certainly has made a name for itself, as its history dates back to the 1970s! Each year, this award-winning farm hosts its pumpkin patch and Fall Festival with a corn maze, wagon rides, a haunted house, and a display of multicolored pumpkins. Plus, the farm's surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. You won't want to forget a camera to ensure you capture all of the stunning autumn views.
